Visiting Telegraph.co.uk is a must!
by Ana Maria Ciobanu
A very interesting concept is starting to catch on. The telegraph.co.uk, "Britain's No.1 quality newspaper website" is operating with "Your top web TV". As if the site wasn't already interesting enough they've introduced videos and recordings. But it is not "just videos". YouTube is filled with millions of uninteresting videos, they've selected the best on the Web and placed it on their site. When I visit the Telegraph Web site I feel like a little child left alone in a huge toy store to play with everything. They have excellent book reviews and book comparisons, book recommendations which are just perfect in this dreadful landscape we're living, where no one has the time anymore to open a book. They have links to art blogs, picture galleries, visual arts, films, radio, a Telegraph chess club! In a world dominated by PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo there are some people out there who are combining Web 2.0 technology with culture, and care more about conserving this ancient elegant game rather than getting rich by placing video game ads on their site. If you visit the Web site you must check out the "50 must-watch web video clips" section. You can also use the comment box to recommend more links are to try out the links placed by other visitors. For today I recommend you to check out TUESDAY'S PICKS. I personally enjoyed "From Trainspotting to Oliver Twist" a great comparison and a great reading of Charles Dickens' novel executed by Irvine Welsh. You can access it at tinyurl.com/2xy3wx
